How it works
From your first euro to your first sale, step by step
Open a free account, get verified, back private companies from €250, follow them in your portfolio and sell your tokens to other investors when you are ready.
The investor journey
Nine steps. The first three take about 15 minutes and only happen once.
-
1
Create your account
2 min · freeSign up with your email and confirm it. Opening an account and holding tokens in custody are free.
-
2
Verify your identity (KYC)
A few minutesAn ID document and a selfie. Most checks are done in minutes; a manual review can take up to 48 hours. Every investor is verified — it is what allows your tokens to move only between verified people.
-
3
Complete the investor qualification
About 5 minA short questionnaire on your knowledge, experience and capacity to bear losses. Regulations require it before you invest; you can save a draft and resume later.
-
4
Add funds
Top up your wallet by SEPA transfer (free, 1 business day) or card, or deposit crypto — EURC, USDC, USDT or ETH on Polygon. You can also pay each investment directly at checkout.
-
5
Invest
Read the project page and its documents, then choose how to invest. The fee is always shown before you confirm, and CDNT can pay part of the amount (1 CDNT = €0.10).
-
6
Hold & follow your portfolio
Every investment appears in your dashboard, with subscriptions still in escrow shown until their round closes. Follow company updates, distributions and votes, and find your statements and tax documents in one place.
-
7
Sell to other investors, peer-to-peer
0.2% fee each sideOnce the lock-up has ended and the asset is listed on the secondary market, publish an offer at the quantity and price you choose. Buyers purchase directly from your offer or send a counter-offer that you can accept, decline or answer. There is no exchange and no market maker: a buyer is never guaranteed.
-
8
Lend currencies, or borrow against your tokens
Lend USDC (5.2% APY) or ETH (3.8% APY) — variable rates, not guaranteed. Or pledge eligible project tokens as collateral to borrow euros at 6.5% APR, up to 50% of their value, and keep an eye on your health factor. Project tokens themselves earn no interest.
-
9
Earn CDNT
Earn CDNT in the Academy (10 CDNT per correct answer), by inviting investors and through the airdrop. Use it to vote in governance and to pay part of a Launchpad, fund or syndicate investment at 1 CDNT = €0.10 — not on the secondary market.

What is a token (ERC-3643)?
A token is a digital record of a security — a share of a company or a unit of a fund — written on a blockchain. Coin District uses ERC-3643, a permissioned standard designed for regulated securities, on the Polygon network.

Held in your name
- Only verified holdersA token can only be held by, and sent to, an investor whose identity has been verified.
- Rules checked on every transferTransfers that don't meet the rules — unverified buyer, lock-up still running — are rejected automatically.
- Same rights as the securityDistributions and voting rights follow the token. Tokenization changes the record, not the company's risk.
- DivisibleOn the secondary market you can buy fractions of a token, such as 2.00 PAR-LOFT.
Escrow & refunds
Your money only reaches a company if its round succeeds.
-
1. You pay
Card, SEPA, crypto or wallet balance, plus the platform fee shown at checkout.
-
2. Held in escrow
The payment is set aside until the round's closing date, shown on the project page.
-
3a. Target reached
The funds go to the company and your tokens are delivered to your portfolio.
-
3b. Target missed
You are refunded in full. For syndicate deals, the refund includes the platform fee.
After confirming a subscription, you also have a reflection period of [Reflection period] to withdraw it at no cost — see the Terms of Service.

The risks, in short
- You could lose all the money you invest. Most young companies fail.
- You may not find a buyer when you want to sell: plan for 5 to 10 years.
- Your stake can be diluted; dividends and target returns are never guaranteed.
- Lending rates are variable and borrowed positions can be liquidated.
Frequently asked questions
More answers in the Help Center.
Do I need to be a professional investor?
No. Any adult who passes identity verification and completes the investor qualification can invest. Some offerings may depend on your qualification and country of residence.
How much do I need to start?
€250 on most Launchpad rounds (some set a higher minimum, shown on their page), from €1,000 for tokenized funds, and from €1,000 per deal in syndicates, depending on the lead. On the secondary market you can buy fractions of a token.
When can I sell my tokens?
Once the lock-up shown on the asset page has ended (for example 12 months, or until listing) and the asset is listed on the secondary market. You then publish your own offer; a sale depends on another investor buying it.
What happens if a round doesn't reach its target?
Your payment, held in escrow, is refunded in full. For a syndicate deal that doesn't close, the platform fee is refunded too.
Can I pay with CDNT?
Partly. CDNT can pay part of a Launchpad subscription, a tokenized fund subscription or a syndicate commitment at the fixed rate of 1 CDNT = €0.10. Secondary-market purchases are paid in EUR, USDC, USDT or EURC only. See Pricing.
Do my project tokens earn interest?
No. Only currencies you lend, such as USDC or ETH, earn interest. Project tokens can be pledged as collateral to borrow euros; you stay the owner and keep their distributions and voting rights.
